Blindata Integration.

Once Mobile can automatically send Once Mobile order into Blindata. When you press Send on a completed order order it is converted into the correct Blindata XML format and sent using the blindata EDI (electronic data interchange).

Internally Blindata  uses product, fabric and option codes rather than the text descriptions used by Once.  You can include these codes in the Once data tables so it all matches up.  This would be the most time-consuming part of setting it up. We have software that can generate Once Catalogue files from an export of a blindata database, however, most customers using blindata integration have just manually added the blindata codes to their existing Once catalogue or manually created their Once catalogue by copy and paste from Blindata.

Actions:

  1. Add the blindata product, fabric and option codes into the Once Catalogue i.e.
In the Range table add the columns "Type Code" and "Fabric Code
In the Extras tables, add the column "Code"

  2. Enable your blindata FTP server and Internet router so it can receive files send over the internet from Once Mobile.

  3. Request that Once Support enable blindata integration for your account.  If you know your FTP server IP address and connections details we can set this up for you

  4. After your blindata support has been enabled, In Once Setup, on the Settings, Local Settings tab, click the "Enable Blindata integration" checkbox and click the Blindata EDI setting button.  You can edit the IP address and login details here.  You can also control if you want Quotes and or Receipts being posted to blindata. Normally you don't or you will get duplicate orders in blindata.

  5. Upload the changes to the cloud and update your Once Mobile devices with the new data.

Sending orders from Once Track to Blindata
Feb 2023: We are currently working on extending Once Track to enable orders to be sent to Blindata systems instead of directly from Once Mobile. The main purpose of this work is to allow orders to be sent directly to suppliers who use Blindata (e.g. Decora) instead of using their order portal.

If you have your own blindata system then this approach may be useful if you want some management oversight of orders sent from Once Mobile before sending them into Blindata.  Contact
